Mikayla was born and raised in the Austin area and is a proud product of Texas public schools. Her family instilled in her the value of hard work, a passion for education, and the importance of community. With their support, Mikayla was able to make her dream of attending law school a reality, graduating in 2020. She focuses her legal practice on the representation of school districts in the areas of facilities, business, construction and real estate.

Mikayla earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. While in Law School, she participated in multiple student organizations, clerked with the Attorney General of Texas and the Austin office of Walsh Gallegos, and served as a Staff Editor for Texas Journal for Civil Liberties and Civil Rights. Prior to law school, Mikayla attended Texas State University for undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Psychology.
