Location: Albuquerque

Walsh Gallegos Treviño Russo & Kyle PC is a law firm devoted to serving public education.  Since 1983, we have worked in partnership with leaders in public education, and we strive to make a difference in the boardroom, the courtroom, and most importantly, the classroom.  Our Albuquerque office is currently seeking an attorney(s) licensed 3 – 5 years in New Mexico to help us continue our work. 

 

The position involves the representation of public school districts and other educational institutions and governmental entities in the areas of facilities and business transactions, real estate, and employment, including civil litigation in these areas.  Attention to detail and excellent research and writing skills are required.  Public speaking experience, strong interpersonal skills, litigation experience, and experience with school districts or other governmental entities is preferred. 

 

In addition to fulltime positions, the firm will consider candidates seeking contract or short term assignments with the possibility of developing into a full time position.

Walsh Gallegos Treviño Russo & Kyle PC is a law firm devoted to serving public education.  We have been working in partnership with leaders in public education since 1983 and strive to make a difference in the board room, the courtroom and, most importantly, the classroom.  Our Irving office is seeking an attorney licensed in Texas 3 -5 years to help us continue our work.

 

The position calls for an attorney who can successfully work to defend public schools and other governmental entities on issues involving special education/disability rights litigation as well as provide advice and consultation to public schools in the area of special education/disability rights.  A background in special education as well as public speaking experience and strong interpersonal skills is a plus, as is experience representing governmental entities in federal litigation.

LEGAL SECRETARY - LITIGATION
Location: Houston

Walsh Gallegos Treviño Russo & Kyle P.C., a mid-size law firm with offices in Texas and New Mexico seeks an experienced Legal Secretary for its Houston office to support a high volume litigation practice. This position supports attorneys in managing administrative and clerical work including: calendar management, filing, process expense reimbursements, document collection, organization, and preservation, document review, document production, and maintaining case filing and databases.

 

Candidates must possess the necessary skills to coordinate with the litigation team, providing assistance such as e-filing, docketing, scheduling, drafting correspondence, and preparing documents or notebooks for case meetings and hearings. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary.  Extensive experience in litigation matters is a plus. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. M-F. 

 

Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational, word processing, and people skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities with great focus in an efficient and effective manner.  Excellent proofing, editing, and writing skills are a must, as well as high proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Our San Antonio office is currently seeking an attorney licensed in Texas 1-4 years to join our Facilities and Business team, representing public school districts in connection with construction contracting, development and real estate transactions, public procurement, and business transactions.  Candidates with a background or prior experience in construction contracting (whether Owner, Design Professional or Contractor representation), real estate transactions and development, and/or business contracting are desired.  Strong research and writing skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are required.  Public speaking experience is also a plus.
