LEGAL ASSISTANT
Location: Austin

Walsh Gallegos Treviño Kyle & Robinson P.C., a mid-size law firm with offices in Texas and New Mexico, is seeking a Legal Secretary for our Austin office. Duties include document collection and preservation, document review, document production tasks, and maintaining case filing and databases.

 

Candidates must possess the skills to coordinate with teams, providing assistance such as drafting correspondence, creating power point presentations and handouts, filing, and preparing documents for meetings, hearings and conferences. Candidates should possess 2+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary. Must have excellent organizational, word processing, and professional level people skills. Candidates must also possess a proven history of handling multiple priorities with great focus in an efficient and effective manner. Excellent proofing, editing and writing/communication skills are a must. Candidates should be proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe/Nitro and Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates that are selected for an interview will be tested on their knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite, proofreading and typing.

LEGAL ASSISTANT - SPECIAL EDUCATION
Location: Irving

Walsh Gallegos Treviño Kyle & Robinson P.C.  is a law firm devoted to serving public education.  We have been working in partnership with leaders in public education since 1983 and strive to make a difference in the board room, the courtroom and, most importantly, the classroom.  

 

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our Irving office to support the high-volume special education practice that serves clients throughout Texas. This position supports attorneys and paralegals in managing administrative and clerical work including: coordinating the discovery process, document collection and preservation, document review, document production tasks, and maintaining case filing and databases.

 

Candidates must possess the necessary skills to coordinate with the legal team, providing assistance such as docketing, scheduling, drafting correspondence, and preparing documents or notebooks for case meetings and hearings. Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary.  Extensive experience in litigation matters is a plus. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. M-F. 

 

Candidates must have excellent organizational, word processing, and professional level people skills, as well as an ability to handle multiple priorities with great focus in an efficient and effective manner.  Excellent proofing, editing and writing/communication skills are a must, as well as high proficiency in Electronic File Maintenance, Nitro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

We have an excellent opportunity in our Austin office for a Paralegal to support attorneys in managing the litigation discovery process, document collection and preservation, document review, document production tasks, and maintaining case filing and discovery databases.

 

Critical skills include e-filing at all levels, case management, research and the ability to handle a varied docket. Candidates must possess the necessary skills to coordinate with their team by providing assistance such as scheduling, drafting correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents, preparing documents for hearing and filing documents electronically. Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience as a paralegal with experience in litigation matters in State and Federal court. Must have excellent organizational, word processing, and people skills and be able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent proofing, editing and writing skills are a must. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

This position supports attorneys in managing administrative and clerical work including calendar management, filing, process expense reimbursements, document collection, organization, and preservation, document review, document production including pleadings, discovery documents and general litigation support, and maintaining case filing and databases.

 

Candidates must possess the necessary skills to coordinate with the litigation team, provide assistance such as e-filing, docketing, scheduling, drafting correspondence, and preparing documents or notebooks for case meetings and hearings. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant. Extensive experience in litigation matters is a plus. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. M-F.

 

Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational, word processing, and people skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities with great focus in an efficient and effective manner. Excellent proofing, editing, and writing skills are a must, as well as high proficiency in Nitro, Adobe, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
