Amanda Moore is passionate about literacy and believes in the importance of a quality education. Amanda attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish. She received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
Prior to joining Walsh Gallegos, Amanda worked as the General Counsel and Director of Legal Services of the Texas State Teachers Association. She has extensive experience in employment matters pertaining to public school employees and has testified before the State Board of Education Committee on School Initiatives and the State Board of Educator Certification. She has presented oral argument before the Texas Supreme Court on matters impacting school law in Texas. Amanda is a member of the State Bar of Texas School Law section, where she served on the Executive Committee for three years. In 2021, Amanda was recognized as an Up & Coming Lawyer by the Austin Black Business Journal. She is a member of the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association and the Austin Black Lawyers Association.
