Kacey Villafuerte is a native of San Benito, Texas. As part of a family of educators and administrators, Kacey is dedicated to serving and advocating for public school districts in the Rio Grande Valley.
Kacey earned her law degree from Saint Mary’s University School of Law, where she served as a staff writer for The Scholar: Saint Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice and was a member of the Hispanic and Women’s Law Association.
Prior to law school, Kacey taught high school Physics and Chemistry. Kacey attended the University of Texas at Brownsville, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a concentration in Biology.
