Paloma Pérez was born and raised in Mission, Texas, a border town located in the Rio Grande Valley. As a child of immigrants who did not speak English nor had a post-secondary education, Paloma’s parents encouraged her to lean into her studies and rely on her school’s resources to achieve her goals. It was through passion, perseverance, the sacrifices of her family, and the support of many of her instructors that she succeeded in becoming the first attorney in her family.
Paloma graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Government, a minor in Rhetoric and Writing, and a certificate from the McCombs School of Business in Business and Public Policy. While at UT, Paloma served as the Vice President of Minority Women Pursuing Law. Paloma earned her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law with a concentration in Business Law. There, Paloma served as the Student Liaison on the Latinx Law Student Association. During law school, Paloma interned for two federal judges, in-house counsel of an international, Nasdaq-traded, company and an insurance defense law-firm.
Paloma focuses her legal practice on the representation of school districts in the areas of facilities, business, construction and real estate.
