Sydney Keller is passionate about helping others. Her legal practice focuses on special education. She was first exposed to special education when her high school debate teacher recommended that she assist the school’s life skills classroom in her free period. This passion continued during Sydney’s volunteer work at an assisted living center in undergrad and pro-bono work in law school.
Sydney earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was named a Mithoff Pro Bono Scholar leading the INCLUDE supported decision-making clinic, was a staff editor and the conference chair for the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, and served as a student attorney ad litem in the Children’s Rights Clinic for three consecutive semesters.
Prior to joining Walsh Gallegos, Sydney interned for Disability Rights Texas working with their special education team, Travis County Probate Court conducting guardianship investigations, Harris County Attorney’s Office in their Child Protection Division, and for a small private firm in Austin that specializes in elder and health law.
