Complex Title IX rules set out school districts’ obligations for responding to and addressing sexual harassment. Those regulations also provide detailed procedures that must be followed before any discipline for sexual harassment can be taken. To help districts navigate these requirements, we’ve created a helpful and easy-to-use guide that sets out steps the Title IX Coordinator/ Investigator/Decision-Maker should take during the Report and Formal Complaint stages when responding to alleged sexual harassment of students. In addition to checklists, the guide includes model reports and forms for use during and at the conclusion of these processes.
