We're Growing!

We have added 4 attorneys - 2 in Irving and 2 in Austin! Kaitlyn Pound (top left), Ali Mosser (bottom right), and Carlos Alferez (bottom left), have all been clerking for us and just received the exciting news that they passed the Texas Bar Exam. Kaitlyn and Ali will be in our Irving office and Carlos will be in our Austin office. David Holmes (top right) also just joined us in Austin, David was licensed in 2018.

Walsh Gallegos Presenting at the 23rd Annual Texas Higher Education Law Conference

We are pleased to announce that Ken Braggs, attorney from our Irving office, will be presenting at the 23rd Annual Texas Higher Education Conference held at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. 

 

Ken will be joined by Lynn Rossi Scott, attorney with Brackett & Ellis, PC. to present on OCR Investigations. If you are attending this conference, please join our session from 11:15AM-12:15PM and say hi to Ken!

Student Voices

Last week we had the honor of attending the Texas Association of School Board's Winter Governance & Legal Seminar in Galveston, TX.

 

Paula Maddox Roalson was honored to continue the tradition of moderating the Student Voices Panel during this event. The students selected to receive scholarships were truly incredible and we are so proud to support the districts that are producing such outstanding citizens. 

 

Attorneys Morgan Beam, Blake Henshaw & Christina Garcia also presented during the seminar and brought vital legal information on booster clubs & PTOs, as well as the intricacies of special education.

Walsh Gallegos Supports the New Mexico School Boards Association

Our Albuquerque office was thrilled to once again support the school board members of New Mexico at their Board Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

 

There is nothing more powerful than seeing school boards from across the state show up at their State Legislature to advocate on behalf of students and public education.
