Please join us in recognizing Paula Maddox Roalson as she retires from the practice of law and moves on to a new chapter in her life. Paula joined Walsh Gallegos on April 1, 1996, as a brand new attorney in our San Antonio office. She will retire at the end of 2025 as one of the most recognizable names in special education, not only in Texas but across the country. Over the years, Paula helped grow our special education practice in the San Antonio office, and in 2010 she moved to Houston to open our office there and help develop it into a thriving practice. Paula’s work has made a meaningful difference in public education, and while we are excited for her as she begins this new chapter, we are truly going to miss her at Walsh Gallegos.

After practicing law for over 36 years, Miguel (Mike) Saldaña will be retiring at the end of the year. Mike joined Walsh Gallegos in 2007 to open an office for us in Brownsville. Although our Rio Grande Valley office has moved several times since 2007, Mike has remained the constant. He has played a pivotal role in mentoring new attorneys and showing them what it looks like to be a fierce advocate for our clients. Congratulations on your retirement Mike! We will miss you.

We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Carroll in our Irving office has become a Shareholder in the firm. Please join us in congratulating her on this professional achievement!

Please join us in congratulating Jim Walsh whose practice has spanned over 50 years! A remarkable milestone that reflects a lifetime of dedication, integrity, and impact on the legal profession.

Before joining Walsh Gallegos, Elizabeth had earned a reputation as a seasoned and accomplished school lawyer in the Rio Grande Valley. She leveraged that reputation to help establish and lead our South Texas office while mentoring several of our attorneys along the way. When Elizabeth joined our San Antonio Office, she brought her fierce determination and competitive drive to assist us in further expanding our presence in the area.
As she starts this new chapter, we wish her nothing but good health and happiness in her retirement. Congratulations, Elizabeth!
